I hadn’t done a straightforward foundation post here on the blog in a while and figured it might a nice change of pace. I must also admit that I’ve been seriously impressed with this foundation and couldn’t wait to show it to you.

My Experience

The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation is one of the base products I’ve been reaching for the most this summer. First off, it comes in a beautiful glass bottle with a dropper applicator, which I really like. It’s so easy to use. Simply squeeze and dispense on the back of your hand.

Because the foundation has such a fluid, lightweight texture and blends so effortlessly, you can use any makeup tool to apply it. Lately, I’ve been alternating between the Hourglass Vanish Foundation Brush and the Real Techniques Blending Brush. The coverage is medium which is perfect for me for every day. I love the natural finish, it looks almost imperceptible on the skin. But what impressed me the most about this foundation is its lasting power. It does not separate, oxidize or transfer. Simply put it does not budge in the typical Florida heat and humidity. That right there means a lot in my book!

I have 3 shades to show you: 22S Light Sand, 27B Light Medium Beige (which will be a true match for me once my summer tan fades) and 32N Medium Neutral (currently a true match for my skin tone).

I don’t necessarily think the SPF provides adequate sunscreen coverage, so I would suggest to always use your regular face spf before you apply the foundation. But overall, this foundation is a big winner for me and highly recommend it. Plus, considering all the skincare benefits it provides, you simply can’t beat the price!
